What to Expect

Your First Visit

If you’re a first-time visitor at Mulhall Family Chiropractic, you’ll need to give us some information about your background, medical history and the nature of your condition. This is so that we can provide the best possible care, tailored to your specific circumstances.

Your First Call

When you call our office at (925) 287-9517, Nolie will be the one to greet you and find you the best appointment to start you on the road to health.

A Bit of Paperwork

We will need to fill out forms that provide general information about you and your condition. Nolie will get your paperwork started so we can save you time in the office and he is happy to assist you with the paperwork once you get here.

Consultation

During your first consultation with Dr. Mulhall, you will discuss any health-related issues and concerns so she can find out what your needs are. You will also learn about potential treatment options.

History and Examination

In order to pinpoint the problem, Dr. Mulhall will ask you a number of questions related to your condition. A variety of targeted tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.

X-Rays

Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in assessing the most effective treatment plan for you. In our office we have digital x-ray, which means up to 1/3 less radiation than traditional x-rays and no toxic chemicals!

Before you leave for the day, Nolie will schedule you as soon as possible for you and your spouse/significant other/close relative an appointment to sit down with the doctor for your report of findings.

Report of Findings

After gathering all of your information, Dr. Mulhall will study and analyze the information and prepare a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. You and your spouse/significant other/close relative will sit down with the doctor to find out if you can be accepted for care in our office, what is wrong, what can be done about it, how long it will take, whether it is fixable or patchable and of course how much it will cost. This report is done at no charge to you!

Treatment

Patients will generally undergo their first treatment after the Report of Findings are completed, Dr. Mulhall has accepted you for care and you are ready to start getting healthier. This will include spinal adjustments with the technique that is best for you.

Home instructions

Before leaving, you will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat applications, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises.

Scheduling the next appointment

Nolie will schedule any necessary appointments for you and will verify any set appointments as you come in to the office.
